Not a bad seat in the house Kudzu

An appropriate intimate opera house for the the VIRGINIA OPERA. Debate the "subtitles" but every seat feels on top of the stage. The balcony is a treat, too.

The Harrison Opera House is truly an amazing improvement over the old as well as a jewel in the Norfolk arts tiara. Parking is ridiculously lacking!! Dine before or after as there is little chance for anything...

Dramatic towers frame this intimate 1,632 seat opera house that is home to the nationally acclaimed Virginia Opera and has numerous features including an elegant staircase, a three story grand lobby, floor-to-ceiling windows, and box seating on the mezzanine and balcony levels.

The Harrison Opera House is home to the Virginia Opera and was once used as a USO theater in WWII. Featuring over 1,500 seats, the Opera House also features bars in the Lower and Grand Lobbies. The Opera House has staged performances of such opera classics as Rossini's Barber of Seville, Puccini's Tosca and Verdi's Il Trovatore.
