Just FYI, if a check is not drawn off the financial institution you are depositing it in to, it is standard banking procedure (Not just a policy of AMCORE) to not make the check immediately available. AMCORE actually has a pretty favorable policy as the funds are made available the next business day....many other institutions place hold that are ATLEAST 24 hours and some take as long as 3...
I too, am looking for a new bank. I have been with Amcore for more than 20 years. It used to be a really great bank, but it has been gradually going downhill for the past 2-3 years. The last 3 months or so have been absolutely awful!
Amcore will not let you keep money out when you deposit even your paycheck. I know several people, besides myself, who are changing banks. I am still searching for a bank myself.
