Hampton is positioned to direct national dialog on the Confederate history, slavery and race history. By abdicating this responsibility we are cheated of any notable influence on social advancement. Even the things that make us uncomfortable need to be boldly displayed to inspire future generations to heal and empower those who will inherit this country.

This poor excuse for a museum has seen fit to pander to political correctness and remove Confederate merchandise from its store! No excuse for this. Who wants to visit a museum that denies and tries to hide part of Virginia's great history??? Apparently this one!

how can you can yourselves a museum if you fold to pc history and not actually history. History is Offensive, that's what we learn from it. stop trying to erase history or be haunted by the ghost of it.
