Hakata Sushi & Asian Grill

I've been dying for some actual Japanese yakisoba and when i found a Japanese place that sold it, I couldn't wait to go. The inside was clean and service was as I expected which was polite enough but standoffish. They give complimentary miso soup which I can't comment on because I don't eat it, but I liked the yakisoba well enough. My main complaint would be that there were too many vegetables...

This is a quaint restaurant run by a kind Korean family.
I have eaten a lot of sushi, but this was the first time I have eaten after the chef gave it some ABURU - some broil with a flame. Very nice.

I was never a sushi eater before trying Hakata. Now, my wife and I judge sushi restaurants based on our eating experiences at Hakata. It is probably one of the hidden secrets of Pflugerville. Definitely a lot better than the chain type sushi restaurants. The food is always fresh and well prepared.

It was a ghost town as I the only person in the place at 7:00 on Tuesday night. The roll was good but the O'Toro tuna was terrible. Very disappointing. Don't come to this place.
