I attempted to contact the civil war trust to preserve one of the most important battlefields of the Appomattox campaign on numerous occasions at no time did the trust attempt to contact me in regards to it. The cavalry battlefield for high bridge now has a house in the middle of it and is being developed by the owner for his business and enjoyment rather than preserved for the honor of those...

My family home is on the Antietam Creek!
I go back quite often, Hagerstown is is a treasure trove of history! One of the bloodiest battles was fought in my Grandfathers front yard, Judge Thomas Alburtus Poffenbarger. The farm, Valencia is now an historic landmark.
