I have been coming to Great Neck with our 4 large dogs for over 5 years. They are a very professional and fair priced clinic with quality of care that is exceptional (we have had 2 other vets prior to them). For emergency purposes they are outstanding. We called yesterday (on of all days a snow day) and they quickly fit us in for an emergency appt and surgery to repair a laceration that was fairly severe. I will tell you, I'm not sure why the negative reviews I have read here, which is quite unfortuntate, but I have never had any type of experience like that with these people and their staff. Dr. Gail McHugh and Dr. Scharma who took care of our dog yesterday in emergency surgery, are nothing but pros, kind, and thorough. Dr. Scharma spent time talking to me and informing me of what was needed and how things were going, and it was a very busy day in that office from what I could see. I am so sorry for your loss. Everyone at our office understands how hard it is to lose a child. That grief was obviously compounded by the poor service you received. I apologize that we were not there when you needed us.
It is always frustrating when lab results don't provide enough information. Sometimes getting the answers needed requires more invasive testing, which most cats will not tolerate without anesthesia.
