I had a cameo brooch that belonged to my Grandmother that was framed in gold. I was told the it came from Italy. I took it to the jewelry buyers at Gold Rush Refiners and I was told that it was an very good example of a Cameo carved from a single piece of stone in two layers. I was indeed Italian. With the gold frame and backing it was worth over 500.00 to them. I decided to sell it as money was really tight at the time.
