Joined Gilpin Slot Club yesterday and what a great party atmosphere we experienced in this casino in Black Hawk! It was a pleasant retrieve from the larger hotel casinos in town. The staff is friendly and accommodating, cupcakes were delicious. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres were offered frequently. We thoroughly enjoyed the perks like 1/2 price lunch, $10 off a future...

Cut up floor plan....not a lot to draw you in to play. We walked through but nothing caught our interest to stay longer or play.

I really don’t know how the Gilpin Casino stays in business. I’ve been there a few times and have not won a thing. The thing that really gets me is their ungenerous comp system. Truthfully they have never given me any monetary comps but if you are lucky they might give you a discount on some type of milk beverage....

The Management is Terrible, And Safety plus clenliness is Unsanitary. The Gilpin and the lodge are connected. Dealers at the lodge were discovered to be cheating at the card tables over the past year. They were caught and fired. Did the casino make an effort to contact the other players who lost due to this. Millions of dollars lost without a chance of winning!!! Also on that note if you look at percentage payback on slots they are rated #1 or 2 This is because you play 20 dollars loose 19 of it then the machine pays you back 18 dollars, you still loose a dollar or 2 never winning nothing,...
