When I called Garner Electric I initially spoke to a woman at a call center. I explained that I wanted to get an estimate to get some work done. The lady messed up on my name and number several times, and I had to make multiple corrections with her. She told me that someone would be calling me back shortly. After an hour of waiting, I called back and inquired about how long should I expect to wait for a call when I was told I would be called back shortly? The lady informed me that the office closed at 3:30pm and then started rattling off some gibberish about possibly being called tomorrow or Monday or sometime in in the future. I inquired on why I was told that I would be getting a call back shortly? Her response was vague and all over that map. She started off by telling me "well, we do have many people answering the phone here". Like that was going to be a satisfactory answer for me. She then continued to say that she didn't' really know why I was being told I would get a call back shortly. I then asked her to please remove my request for a call back as I was going to pursue other options and no longer wanted a call back. She again started speaking gibberish about how she didn't know if it was possible or not to remove my name, and continued on to partially apologize for not knowing. Again she was all over the map very similar to the first person I spoke too.
The only thing that I can say is that I don't know anything about the quality of this companies work. Just that the call center they pay to take their calls is horrific and only doing them a great disservice to their company. If I were them, I would immediately stop using this call center as they only seem to have poorly trained people answering the phone. I would also ask for compensation for the lost business this call center created for them.
For me, I'm going to pursue other options to get my work done. Just because if something goes wrong and I need to call them after hours, I don't feel comfortable my request will be handled properly.
Took three days to get a call back, three more days to schedule service. The lady that answered the phone was rude. The electrician was nice and professional. He replaced the same two thermostats he replaced three times, first one the thermostat failed, second one it wasn't installed correctly, third one the brand is bad he said, replaced with different brand -now it stopped working again.
