Fuego Cocina y Tequileria Restaurant Review

Jeff Tunks and crew have done it again, establishing a restaurant with a flair for presentation, attentive service and robustly seasoned fare --- almost authentically Mexican with a Southern California kick. It’s a certainty that you and your friends will go through a basket or two of freshly made chips and the guacamole dip and the ceviche. And then comes dinner, and the choices are so...

Parts & Labor Snags Two Stars from Tom Sietsema

Tom Sietsema road trips to Baltimore this weekend to check out Spike Gjerde's meat-centric Parts & Labor. The restaurant earns two stars from the critic, and largely positive words. He dolls out praise from dishes ranging from pimento cheese to sausage to a solid hamburger.

Where to Order a Steak (That Isn't a Steakhouse)

Who says you need to hit up a traditional steakhouse to curb a carnivorous craving? Eater has been on the lookout for solid steaks at unconventional locations. They can be found everywhere from American wine bars to Italian restaurants — and in the suburbs as well. Here are 10 that made the cut.

Wings and Beyond: Super Bowl Takeout Options

Super Bowl Sunday is the second biggest eating day of the year in the U.S., runner-up only to the gorge-fest known as Thanksgiving. Keeping with that illustrious and gluttonous tradition, there will be no lack of options for chowing down this weekend, as just about every bar around is offering up some sort of food or drink special for the big game.

For those looking to keep the party in-house,...

The Passion Food team (Ceiba, PassionFish) expanded its reach into trendy Clarendon with this modern Mexican kitchen and tequila specialist that takes an artisanal, made-from-scratch approach to its food; the colorful, high-gloss setting sprawls over two floors, with an upstairs dining room outfitted with booths and a giant fireplace, while downstairs, a TV-lined bar and lounge tempts drinkers...

Brunch food on Sunday is excellent when it actually arrives. Sunday service is spotty at best.

Cinco de Mayo disappointment

I've been to this restaurant before & I will chalk this experience up to it being a busier than normal night. Drinks took a long time to arrive, we were offered someone else's drinks & food was disappointing. The drinks were the highlight of the night, very good. The ambience was not great - it was so loud you nearly had to yell to have a conversation. Service was "eh", we were told things were...

Daphane does not know how to speak with people!!!!

The manager did not speak to us like valued customers at all. When employees give information over the phone they need to make sure that it is accurate. I called the restaurant twice to confirm the reservation and request for my item to be held and I was only told it'll be a $4 holding few and nothing else. So when I asked where did the other $4 come from she had an attitude and quoted "this is...

Best Brunch

Hands down the most delicious and best bang for your buck brunch in Arlington! Three delicious courses for $19 plus $2 drinks?!? What more could you ask for? Plus, who doesn't want to have tacos, mimosas, AND churros as part of their breakfast? I can't say enough good things about Fuego - especially for brunch. Everything I have eaten there has been wonderfully delicious, well prepared, and...
