My hubby and I went to Friendly's in Chesapeake every week while our kitchen was being remodeled. We loved the service and foot there. We were so sad to see the sign on the door too. What happened? According to the history on the menu, the Friendly’s chain started as an ice cream and transitioned to include an American Diner restaurant. Our waitress was nice and knowledgeable, but very busy. Apparently she was senior and several new hires needed assistance, but she took care of us.
