They must be going downhill. Horrible food- disgusting and they would not exchange it! Overcharged, dated decor and just bad customer service! We will never go back~ too bad a better restaurant couldn't take over the cool building!
Best She Crab Soup in Hampton Roads
The restaurant is very beautiful and unique inside, but very noisy. If you are looking for a quiet dining experience this is not the place. Food was ok, but not the quality I had expected.
Me and my wife had brunch here 9/30/07 and I was fully satisfied. Not many places around can make Eggs Benedict properly, but Freemason Abbey is on par! Great service, extremely reasonable prices—I was very surprised. I cannot recommend Sunday brunch here strongly enough. Please do give it a try at least once!

We also recommend the homemade artichoke dip and crab dip. Of course, others are religious when it comes to the she crab soup. The cheerful and...

Cheryl was my server and we were very pleased, the only thing is maybe a few more options on the menu, I like grill and scampi shrimp...
Great setting to bring a group and clients. Waitstaff is good. They could use some renovation or general clean up as it does appear a bit worn in places. Just get some new carpet.
The Freemason Abbey is located in a church that dates back over 130 years. The Freemason Abbey serves up quality seafood, steaks, pastas and more in a classy yet casual environment. Make sure you try the award winning She Crab Soup!
This upscale restaurant serves an American menu. Expect the average entrée to cost in the range of $12 to $20, and you`ll be appropriate if dressed casual.
