Help us make it rightLunch at Formosa with 15 other people. The floor is filthy and sticky, even the carpeted area. Table wasn't too clean either. The food is alright, but I wouldn't go back until they do a major cleaning in there.
The place was clean to a degree, the food was cold on the bar. The only hot food was at the BBQ grill, after you wrestle the frozen meat apart. Price was reasonable. service for drink refills was good, even though when i asked for a box to go, she said no, one box per table..
Would I go back, No. There are to many other places in HR to go to, that are Far better!!!
Diners beware!! what once was a pleasant dining experience with hot, delicious food is now under new management as of about 6 mo ago and is awful.Soups and food items were luke warm if that. Dining area is no longer clean. Buffet trays were not full and food looked like it had been sitting out since early morning piled in a heap in the middle of the pans. Shrimp on the mongolian buffet was so strong (old) that it overpowered the meat, veggies(dry) and sauce. Very fishy tasting. Disappointed in staff as waitress could not understand any of our questions or request.
The first time we went there it was out of this world. The seafood was excellent. The salads were excellent. It was alllll good. Then when we went the 2nd and 3rd times it was a little less good each time... The best is the crablegs by far.
When they don't have crablegs there's no reason to go.
The service is real nice when you can get seated... we've had to wait for the seater twice he acted like we weren't standing there. When someone else came up behind us, then he acknowledged us.
Sooooo nasty! Old and dirty in the inside. Very small selection on the buffet. I'm surprised this place is even still open.... They get shut down by the health board every few years. Drive down the Blvd. A little bit more. Go to jannif. Across the road from pier one is a shopping center wih a giant Chinese buffet! It's...
Actually it was my 3rd time there, off course i will keep going there. they have new cuisines added to the bar and most of all, I really like the mongalian grill, that's the bomb right there, gotta try it!!!
I regret eating here, and not simply because I didn't need the calories. I regret eating here because the food looked unappetizing and tasted like it...
I did not like this restaurant. We went mostly because of the mongolian bbq and it was not great. I have been to another mongolian bbq in town and i expected it to be just as great. Steamed rice was digusting, it was crunchy and light brown, it was definitely not fresh. I asked the waitress if there was more rice and she just brought me the same nasty one. Buffet was ok, my husband was happy...
Great variety on the buffett. I personally love the mongolian BBQ. Simply great service, waiters/waitresses are always very friendly. Great Selection..
