First, why would I think that a seafood restaraunt smack in the middle of the mountains would be good? I must have been oxygen deprived.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal at Fontenot's Seafood and Grill after a day of skiing. It's on the higher end of the dining scale. The waitress was friendly and helpful and the food was above average. Little piece of proper cajun heaven in the mountains

First off, I was pleasantly surprised to find a place that claimed cajun in Winter Park, and was even more surprised at how excellent my experience was, for both dinner and jazz brunch!
When we walked in the door, we were greeted and promptly sat in a lively but not crowded room. Fontenot's maintains the cajun atmosphere without feeling disturbing....

WHY WE LOVE IT: Nothing about chef Radek Cerny’s creations for his L’Atelier restaurant is expected; with dishes like “duck confit with liquid potatoes” and “smoked salmon with horseradish foam” you think you’re in for a treat as soon as you see the menu. And you’re right.
