Flying Fish Cafe is considered one of the top Outer Banks Restaurants. We strive to provide good food and good times in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere!! We take special care to ensure we provide delicious food and an ambiance that will suit anyones taste!
I had a 7 pm reservation at Flying Fish recently.. Traffic on part of the bypass was rerouted to the beach road at that time due to an accident. Traffic was slow. We didn't arrive until 7:20. We lost our table and the maitre d' was matter of fact in stating he gave our table away and could not accommodate us. This is one of the few instances where we have experienced other then warm hospitality from a restaurant or retail personnel on the Outer Banks
Great wine and service in casual atmosphere. Lots of seafood, great steaks and fresh desserts. 40 wines by the glass and extensive reserve wine list. They take reservations!

Awesome experience! All of the staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. If the tuna poke salad is available on the specials it was amazing! I had the filet mignon for my entree and it was cooked exactly how I wanted. The staff were so friendly and attentive that it would be enough to make me go back again, but the amazing food and wine sealed the deal! Definitely suggest! :)
