Untrustworthy at best.

Answered a Craigslist ad they had for an hourly flyer job to go around and put flyers on people's doors. At first it seemed reasonable, I had had flyers put on my door before by companies, but eventually it started to get strange when they would warn me before going into a neighborhood "Look out for police, and don't let security guards see you", yet when I asked them if it was illegal what they were telling me to do, they simply said no. Needless to say, after a little less than a week of handing out flyers into neighborhoods that had signs reading "No soliciting"/"No trespassing", and a couple days of dodging groundskeepers and security guards in private neighborhoods, I told them I wouldn't be able to work for them anymore and asked them to send my check in the mail. Its been 7 months and 6 emails to them later and still no reply or check. I should have known though, the job required no paperwork whatsoever. Since, I have heard numerous complaints about Travis and his auto shop.

I will never have my car serviced here.

I should have done my homework like I normally would to find a reputable car repair shop. I knew that in this kind of economy and everybody trying to be frugal in any means I was very skeptical about who to bring my Son's car for repair. I checked online and called the first site I found that offered free diagnostic and towing. My first clue of getting a poor service should have been when I didn't receive a call until several days later and the very nice lady told me that they didn't have any idea who's car it was. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking they must be really busy. She then preceeded to tell me that the car will require a diagnostic testing for at least 2hrs and that they charge $90/hr. I didn't mind paying for it, but I wasn't really given much helpful information to determine what was done with the car when they supposedly did a "diagnostic testing". Now they are going to require a more detailed diagnostic testing. Needless to say I didn't get it fixed since the owner "Travis" made a very rude comment about how he really had no time to fix a 1990 Honda Civic. It's people like him that makes me not have faith in others to render a good and honest service. Last but not least when I asked how much did I owe, Belinda and Danielle both said $65 for towing, but when Travis got on the phone he said $75. When I mentioned that was not I was told he immediately responded with " I don't know why they told you that". When I came in to pay for it the written receipt stated $65 but the girls that worked the front desk said that "it's up to the owner's dicretion." It's truly a shame how low some people will sink down to just to earn money for doing absolutely nothing to help others. I'm sure that there are customers that were treated better than we did. Bottomline I will make sure that others will know how they handle their business at First Colonial Auto Repair. (Edited May 09, 2012)

They are very informative, answered all of my questions, and did great work. You can't find better customer service in Virginia Beach. They were also very quick. I won't be going anywhere else. No complaints at all.
