I was here for our office Holiday Party. I been here a few times before and it's a good place for some stout and fish & chips, but not today.

MacCool evening. I visited after a meeting in a nearby hotel and was impressed with the decor and outside dining. The beer selection was good and the pour was as good. Ordered the sausage rolls for an appetizer and although they were as described they lacked zing. If it weren't for the horseradish sauce they would have been fairly bland.

Eh.... Neat atmosphere right along the river. I had the fish and chips which was dubbed "Best Fish and Chips in Jacksonville"...not impressed. They handled our big group well. Food in my opinion not anything special.

Food Great - Service... not so much.. I love the food, but the service lacks. I agree with the Mixed Feelings "twisted, wrong or forgotten" review after a recent experience. After seeing two groups of customers who arrived after us receive their appetizers and even entrees before we received our order of reuben spring rolls at the bar (these are as good as they sound!), I questioned our order...

Mixed feelings. I have mixed feelings about this Fionn MacCool's. I had such a terrible experience with the staff my first time here that I never wanted to return. I've been back once since, and my opinion hasn't changed. However...because I love the original Fionn MacCool's, I will try to be fair in my review.
