I was astonished how this is a VERY unprofessional environment. Sal, who is the manager, who goes by multiple different code names (George, Ricky, Anthony) its all ONE person.
This company does ZERO background checks on the drivers and helpers that go into YOUR home to pack your house, load the truck and go to YOUR new home and unload and unpack. BEWARE that you could have someone with a hard criminal past entering your home. He has told us to put to work anyone that has a pulse. Certainly, I don't agree but thats what bossman wants.
Also, for the extremely hard labor work that is involved, he ONLY pays minimum wage to his helpers. Folks, let me tell you, You get what you pay for!!
As far as the unprofessional environment, He has trained his office staff while on the phone with drivers and helpers to just hang up on them. Now, I worked in the office for 3 days before I had enough and said goodbye. I can't seem to wrap it in my head how he treats his employees. You know the ol saying, The Richer gets Richer and the poorer gets POORER. He only cares about padding his own pockets.
I'm surprised he hasn't been audited for his cash flow. He pays some of his help cash under the table just to keep them coming in. The other helpers and drivers, he pays them weekly.
So if you want to book your move with this company, the pricing is very good. I will tell you that. However, just imagine what criminal is walking into your home and can they be trusted. We don't know. There's NO background check on any of them!!
They tell you not to date the contract when you sign it. Folks, SIGN and DATE the contract!! When the drivers come back in at the end of the day, we are to "legalize" the paperwork by adding numbers to the contract. BE SURE TO GET A COPY OF YOUR FULL CONTRACT. Everything that you sign, you have the RIGHT to receive a copy!!
STAY AWAY!!!! These people are thieves and criminals. I used them in 2008..it is now 2016 and am still traumatized by my terrible decision to let them handle my move. I moved from Jersey City to Ewing, NJ. Move started at 8 a.m. We did not leave Jersey City until 6 p.m.!!! Lazy-a@s slow workers. By the time they arrived at the destination, it was now 8 p.m. and Percy the ringleader now says his guys are on overtime and demanded another $2800. In CASH!!! At 8 p.m!!! That or they held my belongings hostage and they will deposit it to a storage, for more money. Mind you, they were not even sympathetic or concerned about the whole situation...they were threatening and intimidating. I almost called the cops and after thinking about it, I really wish I did.
Thank God I came up with the cash. Unloading was very reckless. They ignored all the properly labeled boxes where they were supposed go. They dumped everything in on the first floor. Nothing was moved to the 2nd floor.
They broke and damaged thousands of dollars of worth of furniture.
Days after I recovered from the traumatic experience, I decided to address all the issues with the company, but they lawyered up and I could not get through.
I was totally broken down by this people. Please, please, please...Do not give these people a penny.
I have to give a star before I can post my review. But trust me, they deserve ZERO stars!!
Drivers showed up 8 hours late. Job was 700 they would not unload my things until we gave them 1000. They went through all the boxes and stole a lot of stuff. They broke two mirrors. The man that quoted us the price was very nice and then after delivery was a tough guy on the phone I am 73 n my husband is 77 we lost but realized it's never to late to learn what scumbags there are in this world. We had a small move they could only screw us so much but I'm sure the bigger the move the bigger you will lose
