If you have any sort of eye insurance DO NOT GO TO THESE CROOKS!!! Their price for an eye exam, for both glasses and contacts is $143 for a private pay patient. I have insurance - for the same exact exam they billed my insurance $208. I paid $48 the day day I came in. My insurance paid $85 towards the exam - for a total of $133. I am now getting billed for $75 that the "insurance didn't cover". Which means they want me to pay out of pocket $123 for an exam that costs a private pay patient $143 (while still getting $85 from my insurance company). Basically, you are not getting any benefit for having eye insurance. When you have insurance, they simply just jack up their charges to try and get more from the insurance and if it's not covered, you are responsible for the overage. I would have been better off just paying as a private pay patient and not bothering with this hassle. I will never go back to them again. I will be going back to Dr. Rountree at TSO optical in Fair Oaks. Even though it is 20 miles from my home, they have never penalized the patient for using insurance. Every year, for the past 3 years I have seen him and only had to pay $30 out of pocket total. He never jacked up charges for patients with insurance. Ordering contacts through him was much cheaper as well. Eyetx vision has horrible business practices!!! Stay away!!
EyeTx has wonderful and friendly staff and doctors. They made us feel comfortable and took extra time to answer all our questions.

This was my first time going to eye tax and really enjoyed my visit the staff was friendly and very helpful , Dr Bell was very professional and very good side mannerism I would recommend this place to my family and friends
