Suspicious multi swipe

Every time I go to this store the clerk requests multiple swipes, refuses to give the receipt, she says the money goes back on the card but it never does.

there is no customer service phone number on the receipt or website. Isn't that illegal for a gas station?

If you need gas and this is the only place, it's better to stop at the sev and get cash so you don't have to swipe at this store.
