Ways to Avoid Being Charged for Damage

Hi, I recently rented a car from Enterprise about a month ago. The same day I hit the carport pole at a apartment complex. Because I chose (on my own free will) to add the protection for 12 extra dollars I avoided charges for the damage that was incurred. Enterprise throughout the country seems to operate in the same manner. I rented a car in georgia and had to extend rental period several times, and had to use different credit cards for payment, both of which were on file. however on one occasion the manager refused to use the appropriate card as instructed and caused major problems with my bank account. oh and one more thing..

You couldn't have found information on the "$400.00 scam" on Enterprise in the countries you listed (ie: Italy etc) They do not have offices there.

I think you are being a little dramatic here...

I work for Enterprise. I have for quite a while...
The $400.00 scam is not something that this company does. If you read the rental agreement and listen to the manager that you are working with in the office, they clearly explain how it works to you.
You can purchase coverage to cover the vehicle in case of accidental damage (scratches, dents, windows etc.) It is by no means MANDATORY.
