I highly recommend Dr. Drusilla Powell, who has been our pediatrician for 23 years. Dr. Powell is a top notch physician, with impressive knowledge and expertise. Her care and concern are apparent in her thorough medical evaluations and practical parenting advice.

Dismissed parent concerns and unresponsive over weekend while child's pneumonia symptoms grew worse, despite offering an emergency number. Will never see him again. Know several friends with similar stories.

Dr. Cardelia was very rude. He didn't acknowledge my son when he entered the room and apparently didn't read the chart either saying "Why are you here?" Belittled my concerns as well as my pediatricians. Would never go back. We still have concerns and will need a second opinion.

We love that she explains things in layman terms. She really does have the best bedside manner so if you are a frequent flyer like us I highly recommend her.

Since 1989, Dr. Powell has actively served on multiple committees and hospital boards at both CHKD and Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. She recently joined the school health advisory board for the City of Chesapeake and continues to be a strong supporter of the YMCA of South Hampton Roads. Dr. Powell strongly believes in an active lifestyle at any age. She enjoys Masters swimming and participates in running events and triathlons.
