We went off season and got a place right on the ocean. It was dog friendly! The complex is off the main road so we had a safe place to walk the dogs. The unit (320) was spacious. It is a little outdated but clean and had all we needed for a few days at the OBX. I will definitely...

We just returned from a weeks vacation Oct. 17-24, at Dunes South. We were in unit 308. Only a 3 minute walk and you are on the beach. Very large and spacious two bedroom, two bathroom unit. The pics on RCI show a development that's weather worn or worse and I had some concerns when I booked our spring break week getaway. Our arrival alleviated those fears, mainly. We've just returned from a week at Dunes South and enjoyed our stay very much.
The unit(306) was spacious and clean. I think these units are heavily used which accounts for the carpeting being less then ideal.
For us the important aspects were the proximity to the beach and they very friendly guests staying in the other units. Also that...
