Not Happy With Dixie

I talked to the man on the phone and he encouraged me to drive 30 miles to meet with him about a vehicle. He said he didn't have what I wanted in stock, but might be able to get it, or maybe I'd see something else on his lot I'd want. I've since gotten a denial of credit from his company. Why was he wasting my time? I heard he was good to work with. I guess you can hear anything.
