Great bar for the 20's/30's folks who live in the neighborhood with reasonably priced food. Burgers look good and they have a specials menu. Portions are big. Not to my taste since I like more gourmet fare. My 24 year old son hangs out here and knows everyone.

I love Dionysus. It's one of the best places to go in Mount Vernon. The chef always has delicious daily specials with a new Orleans flair and they have yummy seasonal beer on tap. Try the gator bites! Another great thing about it is it's never too crowded.the staff is friendly and hip. The owner is often behind the bar...

We like any bar -- especially a low key lounge like this one -- that pours discounted (and many times, free) shots for every Ravens touchdown and Orioles run scored (endearingly called "Buck Shots"). Even if it's not the first place you think of to watch the game, Dionysus works because of its low-pressure atmosphere and laid back vibe. We prefer the basement bar. --Wesley Case
