To stand where the shots where heard that killed one of the most famous presidents is a little unsettling. You can talk to several different people who all have different conspiracy theories. Very interesting to listen to. By law they can not change the way the area looks so you will see just what JFK saw right before he died.

Very easy and accessible - no fees to walk the plaza. I did not venture into the Sixth Floor Museum. There are numerous plaques providing information and perspective. There are a few folks hawking souvenirs and dispensing their wisdom, but they are not overbearing. I visited near sunset, so it was a nice, quiet time of reflection.

I learned to much from our visit to Dallas. My 15 year loves JFK history. This trip to the Dealey Plaza and 6th floor museum was a dream come true for him. He was even lucky enough to meet a famous author.

Part of the experience

If you go to the depository you go to the landmark to see where JFK was shot but it is actually the site where Dallas was first established in the 1800's

Solemn spot

Must visit in DFW - you get a really meaningful sense of how quickly this happened - the distance, tragic....
