We stayed at this motel a year ago when we drove south, and really appreciated the hospitality of the staff, the cleanliness of the room, and the great free breakfast. Just had to go back again this year when we vacationed with friends in SC. If we ever drive south again we all plan a stop in Roanoke a Rapids.
We were traveling from Florida to New York And have stayed at this Days Inn in Weldon on our previous trips north. It is very close to the I-95 interstate exit. I booked with this hotel because they promised to serve a hot breakfast. When I arrived for breakfast there were no more sausages and eggs and no milk for the cold cereal.
The first impression of this hotel was positive - the desk clerk was very personable, to the point that I complemented her at the time for her "people person" personality. I don't remember much about the motel otherwise (except that there was no salt at the breakfast bar), so the room must have been all right, or I'd remember it....
The sheets were clean. The room was dirty. The bathroom floor was greasy. The plug for the hairdryer was broken. (Safety hazard). The lighting was poor and the towels were thin and worn. Wyndham should be ashamed of themselves.
