Help us make it rightI am very upset with Dallas Dancewear. This is the second occassion they have made a mistake that is costing me money! In May, I purchased a black leotard that my daughter needed for an audition the next day. My daughter is a size 10 in street clothes and so I purchased her a size 10-12 leotard. After a 40 minute drive back home, my daughter tried on the leotard. It was extremely too small. It was obviously mismarked. It had to have been a size 6-8. I drove back to the store hoping to easily exchange it. The owner felt the need to debate the fact that she felt it would stretch. Finally I got her to exchange the leotard. Tonight, I went to Dallas Dancewear to purchase her dance shoes for this season. We bought four pair and four pairs of tights. When we got home we found that the box of ballet shoes were empty. No shoes in them at all...and her tap shoes were two different sizes. One was a size 5 and the other a 5.5. I am returning to the store tomorrow demanding that I get the other correct sized tap shoe and the ballet shoes that were not in the box. In the future I am shopping at Kim Lee's in Fort Worth. I have found out from other dance moms that they are about 20% cheaper on all of their dance shoes. Also, they will come to our studio and take our sizes, allow us to place orders, and deliver them to us when they come in. That is much better service than me having to waste gas on a stores careless mistakes. The people at Dallas Dancewear are very friendly, but what good is friendliness if your visits there only turn into a headache?
Dallas Dancewear has a new owner and location in Flower Mound. Lauren the owner aims to please. She is dedicated to finding out what the customer needs and quickly offers to do a special order if she doesn't have it in stock. Forget the previous posts about Dallas Dancewear!
I purchased a body tight at Dallas Dancewear. When I bought it I expressed concerns that the color (dark tan) may be too dark to be approved by our director (they didn't have the color that I needed). The clerk told me that it would be no big deal to return it for a different tight. I returned the tight about 1 week later with difficulty as the clerk insinuated that my daughter had worn it....

Every time I go to this store, they always have what I need, and if they don't they offer to order it. Their tights are always marked down, and they always have good sales. Not everything is cheaper than other dance stores, but most of it seems to be. Most of the people who work there are nice, but I have experienced one person who wasn't that friendly... not rude, but not friendly either. ...
I thought since the store was in an outlet mall, the prices would be discounted as well. I was wrong! They are more expensive than any other dance retail shop in the DFW area! Talk about playing on the publics ignorance. They never fit my daughters shoes, were out of stock of simple things such as tights, and were not even friendly when I was paying. I DO NOT recommend this store to anyone!!!
