The HistoryFounded in 1936 by late author, book designer, world traveler and paper historian Dard Hunter, the museum's first home was the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In the Atlanta venue, permanent exhibits explore the art, science and history of papermaking from the forerunners of paper to today's top technology.
