Help us make it rightI've seen the Rev. Pat Robertson munching on fried chicken here at Hot Springs' favorite country restaurant. It's good Southern fare like my mother used to cook. All is not fried, however, including the broiled, sautéed, or chargrilled mountain trout, the best meal here. Finish it off with a slice of cream pie. Beer and wine are served but not spirits.
The Country Cafe is about 1 mile South of Hot Springs on the 220 and a refreshing change to the rather stuffy and chilly ambience of some of the other local hostelries. The place is warm, welcoming and well run. My wife and I breakfasted on two superb, freshly-cooked omelets with toast and as much coffee as we needed for...

Love this place. Whenever we go through Bath Co, we make sure we stop off for a lunch here. They are crowded all the time because locals know there is good greasy spoon food here and the peanut butter pie can't be beat.
Are you staying at The Homestead and looking to have some quality cooking at a fraction of the cost? Look no further than County Café. A good option if you're after a reasonably priced meal. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast there with some of the best biscuits and pancakes I've come across. It's nice if you want to avoid the hoity-toity dining options that are affiliated with the homestead.
Very nice home style meals.
