Jewelery repair: after careful look at the problem, the jeweler quoted one price (a high one), but on pickup charged 33% higher than quote. Could not provide a definite time frame for repair; said ""umm...I'll call you."" In fact, did, but I wonder how much longer it would have taken if I did not pop in to remind about pending repair after two weeks.
On pickup, I had no choice but to pay the inflated fee because I needed my piece of jewelry back, a bit of a hostage-like situation. Quality of repair: average, can see the welds without a magnifying glass.
I think I'll look elsewhere...
