I saw the Nutcracker at the Stevens Center this year. The Nutcracker was put on by the UNCSA and was AMAZING, but this review is for the Stevens Center which is okay at best. We attended a concert last night with the Winston-Salem Youth Symphony at this venue, and we were very pleased with the Stevens Center. The decorative woodwork and ornate detailing surrounding the stage was lovely to look at, and the acoustics were fine. I didn't know about this place, and I'm happy to have had the opportunity to enjoy the Stevens Center.

A magnificently restored, Neoclassical theatre that was originally a 1929 silent movie theatre and is now the primary performance space for the North Carolina School of the Arts. A total of 1,380 seats on two levels is inside the theater and a wide variety of events, concerts, and performances are held here.
