Editorial reviews from the web (1)

The state's largest art and history museum focuses heavily on American art ranging from colonial portraiture to provocative contemporary works. Other permanant exhibits showcase the history and industry of the Chattahoochee Valley. There's always something new and different to see in the temporary exhibit galleries.

I love that first of all this museum is a classic and preserved perfectly. The theme changes always so you can go back often and not see the same thing twice and it's free! It is so pretty that often times you will see wedding pictures being taken by the fountains.

Columbus is fortunate to have a quality museum which focuses on the history of the region. The permanent collection is full of quality art. There is variety in all of the galleries, thus there is art for all tastes and various styles to challenge the mind. Outside, the Olmsted Garden is a refreshing place to get close to nature.
