My wife and I have boarded our two dogs here for the last five years, and we have never had any issues with Rick or his staff. We call ahead when we know we're going to be late and they let us know if they can wait or not. Our dogs have certain needs with boarding and eating. They have always worked with us. Gus and Tobi love coming here.
Coastal Dog's staff is SO great with my dog! It definitely isn't top of the line as far as the look but they have updated/painted some to give it a better appearance but don't go expecting some...
Look... The place is definitely not for everyone but I'd like to clarify a few things. I've taken my dog there for daycare about 10 times and I've boarded him there more than once. Every time we go to Coastal my dog is so thrilled to get out of the car and go out in the yard. When I pick him up he is literally so tired that he falls asleep on the way home (less than 3 miles away) and when we get in the house he is so tired that he does not eat his dinner, he just falls asleep on his dog bed. Yes, I agree with the other posts that my dog is lethargic for a day or 2 following doggie daycare...
This is the worst doggy daycare I have ever seen. They leave the dogs unattended and neglected. The kennels and pins are filthy. I left my 8 month old puppy there for five days and it was the worst mistake of my life. When I arrived there to pick up my puppy, no one was out there watching the dogs. She was being humped by some massive dog they put in the puppy pin, she has a bite on her leg...
Worst place ever, DO NOT board your dogs here. The condtions are filthy, the dogs are left outside unattended without any shelter, dogs have gotten out of the fenced area and been killed by cars on Warwick Blvd. Other dogs have been so neglected that they lie in their feces and urine for days, get sick and suffer tremendous pain from the urine burns on their skin.
