Norfolk Virginia is Beautiful. This hotel is downtown. I had a view of a parkinglot w/beep
beep beep loaders all night. This hotel is a complete wreck. They were demolishing the parking lot. It's supposed to be historic, but there is no air conditioning, the vending machines take your money[if they work] recomended this site. This place is scary. Noone...

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in !

room was very small, no in-room controls for heat or air-conditioning, shower was terrible- low water pressure, luke-warm water at best, room maintenance was poor- air filter was filthy

Though the hotel is historic being built back in 1906. It doesn't appear much pride was taken in every detail of the restoration. Not sure if it's a financial issue or what, but stained carpet, smelly elevators, tiny rooms, blown out light bulbs and cracks in windows were not appealing to me.
