Editorial reviews from the web (1)

With its "sexy crowd, sexy atmosphere" and "classy" interior (amber-lit bar, sleek lounge), this "upscale" White House/World Bank lounge may amount to the "closet thing DC has to a small Vegas nightclub"; "happy-hour specials" and late-night music for dancing mean the "festive" place "gets crowded", but the overwhelmed can retreat to a "great outdoor space" for "people-watching."

don't understand why it's not more crowded for lunch. It's reliably good and not expensive.

I booked this reservation for my Birthday celebration. The waitress that we had did not know much about drinks/food. She seemed to have a tough time understanding what we were trying to do. I did not know, but the kitchen closed at 9pm and our reservation was for 8:30, and for 12 people. So we were rushed they dinner and not able to really enjoy the experience. This was my first time here for...

Finally, we walked to the bar, and asked the bartender if they were seating people. The bartender asked another employee, and...

First time customer. Anniversary dinner. Somewhat noisy, relatively small but the food was good and our waiter was great. This is more of a Happy Hour and after 9:00 PM music and dancing bistro.

FRAUDULENT SERVER, MEDIOCRE FOOD: My check was $16.50 for an overpriced and overcooked cheeseburger and decent fries. A business lunch, which should've taken 45 minutes took more than an hour because the service was slow. So I tipped $2.50 (15%). When the credit card charge posted, my Capital One mobile app alerted me that I left a generous tip of $14.81 (90%). I seriously doubt that was an...
