ANTI-CHRISTIAN SOLDIER IS A "BASEMENT BANDIT" (a label law enforcement uses to describe crooks like Mr. Shiflett, owner of "anti-Christian gun shop") ONLY THE FACTS:
Fact #1 Robert Shiflett is a thief.
Robert Shiflett stole my gun. The Maryland State Police demanded and forced Shiflett to return it.
Fact #2 Robert Shiflett is a thief guilty of Grand Larceny.
Robert Shiflett stole my $300.00 deposit. With bank rate interest since 1999, Shiflett owes me over $720.00 as of 2010.
Fact #3 Robert Shiflett is a coward and a criminal.
He committed assault and false imprisionment of a Female Process Server, serving a summons from the Baltimore County District Court. At the trial he said to the Female Process Server, " I WAS JUST F***ING WITH YOU B@!%H".
Fact #4 Robert Shiflett is a liar, he committed Perjury at his trial in the Baltimore County District Court. Since none of you responders witnessed these crimes it is easy for you to doubt these facts. However the facts are documented by Baltimore County District Court Documents and Bank Check Reciepts. If you would rather, ask Shiflett to take a polygraph, because he is a LIAR. What do you expect from a criminal ?
WOULD YOU BUY A GUN FROM A CRIMINAL ?
In October 1999 I trusted Mr. Shiflett to sell one of my firearms. I told Mr. Shiflett when he sold my gun I would like to buy 2 Ruger guns, the p45 and p90 semi-autos. These guns were on display at many other gun shops in the area such as Valley Gun. However due to Mr.Shiflett's being a "basement bandit" he did not have either of the guns in stock. He demanded a $300.00 deposit in addition to my gun, I had given him on consignment, a rather valuable cast not stamped AK-47. I, of course, questioned his apparent greed for having my valuable gun and his demand for $300.00 for 2 ordinary Ruger guns that other gun shops had in their display cases. He said he was giving me a good price because he kept his inventory low. That seemed plausible to me so I trusted Mr. Shiflett with my gun and $300.00.
In November 1999, a month later I called him regarding our transaction, he was unavailable. His "little dump" was only open 1 or 2 days of the week and it took me 2 weeks to get in touch with him. After having my gun on consignment for over 6 weeks he did not sell it. He had not even ordered my "plain vanilla" Rugers with my $300.00 deposit. I told him that was outrageous and fraudulent business practice. I demanded my gun and $300.00 back he refused at first. I then called the Maryland State Police and reported his fraudulent business activities. They were very sympathetic, however they told me that it would be a civil matter and cautioned me, never to deal with basement bandits, like ANTI-CHRISTIAN GUN SHOP.
After much fighting with Mr. Shiflett he was forced by the MD State Police to return my gun, as it was registered in my name.
SHIFLETT STILL HAS MY $300.00.
Here is the worst part. My girlfriend offered to act as process server for Baltimore County District Court in our suit against him to recover our $300.00.
ON THE DAY IN DECEMBER WHEN STEPHANIE WENT INTO ANTI-CHRISTIAN GUN SHOP WITH THE DISTRICT COURT SUMMONS MR. SHIFLETT LOCKED HER IN HIS STORE WITH SOME OTHER CUSTOMERS AND IMPRISONED HER FOR 20 MINUTES VERBALLY ASSAULTING HER. HE HAD HIS GANG OF FELLOW CRIMINALS ASSIST HIM IN A HEANEOUS CRIMINAL ACT OF FALSE IMPRISONMENT OF AN OFFICER OF THE BALTIMORE COUNTY DISTRICT COURT.

I have nothing, but compliments for this shop & it's owner. He was very patient with me as a 1st time gun buyer. No pressure and found that his prices are great after shopping around. There will always be a high strong shopper out there that will not get their way! He will get over it! Hope the shop is around for my next purchase!
The hostile reviewer who feels qualifed to pass judgement on Mr. Shifflet's status as a Christian is demonstrating his own intolerance. His review is libelous and his accusation that Rob is a Basement Bandit demonstrates how one's attitude creates their own experience. The real bandits used to be in business up the street, but they went out of business. Rob is still in business for a good reason. Customers who have unreasonable expectations and treat shopkeepers with such blatant hostility are impossible to satisfy. He is clearly not telling the whole story. If Rob still has his $300, there is a good reason for it. I'm giving Rob 5 stars because he is doing things right, otherwise this recession would have put him out of business. Hang in there, Rob. You're a good man.
They have a great selection and knowledgeable staff.
Understaffed, owner uses this as a side business so hours are not consistent. I was called for approval weeks after state police say they approved me. Friends made purchases at other gun shops after I made my purchase and had theirs over a week before me. He said a holster came with my purchase …
Went to this place, and they did a very good job helping me obtain my personal self defense device (bitter 1-star review restaurant owners take notice). The selection is wonderful, and the owner certainly knows what he is talking about. Every time I go in, the place is full of current and former cops, so that seems like a good sign. They are open odd hours, so call before you go.
He answered all my questions and had what I needed.
