Chops Lobster Bar, Atlanta, GA. 158 likes. Seafood Restaurant

Located downstairs from Chops & Lobster Bar, one of the city's best steak houses, this single-minded restaurant is Atlanta's best at cooking up crustaceans. Proper attire is required in the formal dining room, but bibs are provided to protect your fancy duds. A nice menu of elegantly prepared seafood selections is available, but most come for king crab and the two-to-six-pound lobsters. A fine...

Operations may be disrupted due to COVID-19. Be sure to contact the restaurant to find out its current status and offerings.Chops Lobster Bar Restaurant Review

This two-tier restaurant houses Chops upstairs, which features steaks and has a masculine, clubby atmosphere, while Lobster Bar downstairs focuses on seafood. Each setting offers the other’s menu. The lump crab cake may be the city’s best, although in season it's hard to beat the soft-shell crabs. Appointments to the latter will vary, sometimes being an Asian slaw or a chive beurre blanc....

A "hopping" "go-to" for the "Lexus-and-up set", this upstairs-downstairs Buckhead Life surf 'n' turfer offers a "one-of-a-kind dining experience" featuring "outstanding" steaks and seafood, a "superb" wine list and service "beyond reproach"; the "classic" setting is "right out of NYC", although a few feel it could "use an upgrade", and while it's "quite pricey", for "special occasions" or when...

It’s an exercise in days-of-old steakhouse charm. Sinatra oozes over the p.a., jacketed waiters bustle about and warm wood panelling boxes in the whole affair. But the star of the show may be the Wagyu Kobe beef New York strip with its simple salt and pepper seasoning and tender marbelized bites. Make sure there’s room on your plastic. The Wagyu calls for $75 a pop.

Nastiest Kitchen in Atlanta

Average Rating

I make deliveries to the kitchen. I wouldn't eat there under any circumstances. That's the dirtiest kitchen I've ever seen. The floor is always wet and sticky. The space is cramped. I've seen food stored on the floor and in the freight elevator. During the...height of the pandemic many of the kitchen staff didn't wear a mask. They still don't. The public area is beautiful, but the...

Steak was nothing special, not worth the price

Much too expensive for an average tasting steak. Hong Kong Combo was pretty good, but I've had better for a lot less money. Service was good, but like the food, nothing special. $175 bill for nothing special, so it's unlikely we will return.

Great steaks, high prices

The steaks are excellent— tender and cooked to perfection however you choose. This is definitely a business account or special occasion restaurant. The prices are sky high and everything is a la carte. The Sevice is attentive without being intrusive. Not too noisy

Not the best…skip it

The food was okay but not great for the price. But the waiter seemed disgruntled when I ordered 4 $20 drinks and a few appetizers. The bill was over $100 and he wasn’t happy.

And they seated us next to a dehumidifier that was so...loud you can’t hear each other speak.

Worst Steakhouse I’ve ever been to, my friends agree

Do not eat here! Based on reviews, cost, and the clientele of this establishment we really expected a lot. However the food was so terrible, I would have rather eaten fast food. My filet mignon was inedible, I did not eat it. The crust was...SO incredibly salty and had a weird taste I couldn’t stomach it. I tried cutting off the crust to eat the middle of the steak but that was too much work. A...
