This hip bistro just off Broad Street near Virginia Commonwealth University is a popular lunch and brunch spot, and also has a take-out operation. The weekday lunch and weekend dinner menus feature a wide variety of seasonal soups, salads, wraps, and hot entrées. The wine list features French vintages to complement the simple Continental fare.

Matt our server was great, candid and knew when to approach and at the same time let us enjoy some quiet time together on VTD. Food was great, flavor profile on the set menu was great, sadly a bad, tough cut of meat, but the team there made it right...

My husband and I were excited to try this restaurant but extremely disappointed by the service. It took us 40 minutes to receive our appetizers (French fries and garlic bread), while everyone around us had already received our meals in half the time. My husband kept trying to get the attention of our waiter, but was ignored, and the other member of the waitstaff on duty was rude when we asked...

Chez Foushee opened in the Fall of 1989 as a small deli and catering operation offering carry-out and boxed lunches. As business continued to flourish a number of renovations occurred and the entire building was purchased in the Fall of 1995.
