She Crab Soup, Crab-meat Dishes, Fresh Local Fish, Home-made Desserts, and a family-friendly atmosphere.
What happened? Poor service, very expensive for a greasy diner atmosphere, and the she-crab soup??? Forget it. Certainly not the best in town, maybe the best in Costco.
I have been going to this fine restaurant since it opened. Excellent food, especially the she crab soup and great people who work there. Everyone makes you feel at home. Everyone should eat there at least once in your life! They would even take food across the street to my mother when she was too ill to get across the street. How can you beat that!
Crabcakes were served on Wonder bread slices. Fish dishes had NO flavor. Sugar in vegetables. Worst seafood place in Tidewater! Expensive and nasty. Atmosphere is like an old, dirty diner run by rednecks.
Final day at Charlie's and spirits are high. All things come to pass sometimes before their time!
