They had a set menu for lunch with several selections. I choose the crab cakes (2) and it included veggies, soup or salad and a desert all for $30. It was by far on the BEST meals I have eaten. Great atmosphere, service and food.

Tucked right off of Historic Route 5 in Charles County, Virginia is a gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. I had the shrimp and grits and it was devine!

Charles City Tavern is a quaint farm house converted in to a very nice restaurant. Thye menu is limited but all items on the menu are very good. Service is excellent. Reservations required due to limited operating hours

Chef Michael should be awarded for his skills. Great food, beautiful presentation. My Quiche came complete with a salad and an amazing house dressing, fresh fruit to include Kiwi berries.
