I like Champion. It's only $99 for the year. You can't beat that. I didn't find any of the comments below true. I went there and check it out before I joined. The place is brand new. They just renovated it, and it looks like they put brand new equipment in there. I found them to be nice and entertaining, especially the redhead. I didn't smell curry either...usually Indian people smell like...

I had never joined a gym before and decided on Champion Fitness in Edison on Rt 1. This is when the horror began. First they tried to give me all these discounts so I wouldn't leave without getting a membership. They said if I left I wouldn't receive any if I came back. It's a cute medium size gym. But if you looking to take aerobics classes they dont offer much of those.

Ive been a member here for about 3 years and when I joined I paid 150 down with the agreement of 25 monthly cancelling whenever I want. Thats a good deal! I go about 5 days a week and during the day you have your choice of cardio. Its very slow during the day although there is a terrible stinky curry smell that really stinks when the cardio room starts to fill up. If you dont mind that then...
