Love the hushpuppies and crab balls and the she crab soup. We will always be fans of the calabash style of cooking and appreciate the casual older style decor of this place. Its like stepping back...

Go to Captain D's spend less, better food. Went tonight for dinner. Had small fried seafood platter, flounder, shrimp and a crab cake coleslaw and fries. Fish was tasteless ,bland and overcooked....

Local place for seafood

I was really looking forward to eating here, as I had never been here before. Unfortunately, my stuffed flounder was dry. Everything else was good, but I was disappointed in the entree. I may try again sometime, but no hurry to return.

Owner is spying on bathroom patrons

Beware of your privacy, this restaurant has security cameras in the bathrooms. Supposedly the owner did this to help with vandalism, but I'd rather visit one of the many restaurants that don't spy on their customers while in a restroom.

Calabash Seafood serves up ocean-fresh flavors such as sweet fried scallops, oysters from the Rappahannock, gulf shrimp and clams from Chesapeake. On Wednesday and Saturday they offer all-you-can-eat crab legs. Open for dinner seven evenings a week and brunch is also available on Sundays.
