Editorial reviews from the web (1)

Botequim seems to have been hidden away against its will in the basement of a hotel on Fourth Avenue. Of the two street entrances, one is weird, the other weirder. One you make it inside, though, things quickly start to look up. Graffiti-style murals zigzag along the walls, samba rhythms ripple all night long, and a glass of cachaça is never more than a few minutes away. Most of all Botequim...

Overpriced mediocre Brazilian food and bad service

Came here for an anniversary, we were treated to a glass of wine which was nice. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was incredible, portions were bigger than I thought after reading reviews and the menu was fantastic. I would love to go back and recommend it to anyone wanting to sit down for a three course.

Service and environment were great but food was quite bland - had a lot of potential and nice presentation but needs much more flavor (and bigger servings) to be acceptable. If the food is improved the place has great potential.

Awesome service.

We were there for a surprise party. Each and every member of the their team went above and beyond to make it special and to keep us happy. They are awesome.
