What the community has to say about Bo Brooks Restaurant

Information about this business (5)

For over 40 years, Bo Brooks has been recognized as the Baltimore's Best Crabs and seafood. Refusing to compromise on our standards, Bo Brooks still steams crabs the olde fashioned way in bushel pots and hand blended seasoning. All our apps and entrees are homemade, and we only use the the freshest, local ingedients. With an unmatched view of the Baltimore Harbor and plentiful outside seating,...

About Bo Brooks Bo Brooks was founded in 1964 by Howard Bo Brooks and two partners. This answers the commonly asked question, Is there really a Bo Brooks'? In reality, Mr. Brooks hasn't owned the business for over thirty years, is in no way related to Brooks Robinson, and is unable to get a table for even his closest friends on a busy Saturday night. The restaurant's original location was in...

Bo Brooks Crabhouse & Restaurant Restaurant Review

Digging into a big pile of Maryland-style steamed hard-shell blue crabs, accessorized with coleslaw, fries and a pitcher of beer, is a classic Maryland experience, and this waterfront favorite (which was founded in 1964 in landlocked Gardenville) makes the most of it. The menu includes a plethora of seafood dishes, such as mussels Florentine, lobster mac ‘n’ cheese and, of course, the local...

It's hardly a secret, and far from a hidden gem, sitting out in the open on Boston street is far and away the most popular crab house in town. Real authentic Baltimore seafood is not found in the harbor but at Bo Brooks. Right on the Canton waterfront showcasing stupendous steamed crabs, colossal crab cakes and phenomenally fresh seafood. With plenty of options for the lubbers among us, Bo's...

This is where Baltimoreans take their friends for steamed crabs. It's one of the few places in the city where you can get both a view and a pile of hot steaming crustaceans. And the crabs are fat and spicy. They've got lots of other seafood entrees, as well as sandwiches, salads, and pasta.

Get down and dirty for a good old-fashioned crab feast on the waterfront.

The Scene
Once the quintessential Bawlmer crab house, this high-end restaurant's new home in the heart of Canton's urban renewal is a long way from its old Belair Road location. Despite...

Came here for my pre-birthday dinner with my BFF. Haven't been here in a while, but Bo Brooks did not disappoint. Ok, so you have to enter a parking lot with paid parking, which can be validated...

Bo Brooks is great for groups because its huge and has a parking lot right out from that they validate partially for (although street parking is pretty easy to find on Boston street for free)....

Okay so this place lacks variety. I get the fact its seafood but I'm not really a fan....I will say their Caesar salad is the bomb.com I also really like the fried pickles. Service is A.L.W.A.Y.S...

Bo Brooks may have been the place to be in times past, but the glory days of their old fashioned menu is long over and most people seem to recommend this spot based on the waterfront view. An...

What a beautiful waterfront location. Sitting on the deck in the spring with a table full of crabs is one of the top experiences in Baltimore. The crabs are just the way you would expect. Of course its a little pricey but all of these things don't come cheap. The service is friendly but a little slow. I will return to Bo Brooks as often as possible.

Baltimore's best-kept secret! Check out the best views in town, and enjoy Baltimore's oldest crabhouse.

Bo Brooks Restaurant can be found at Boston St 2701. The following is offered: Steak Houses. The entry is present with us since Sep 7, 2010 and was last updated on Nov 12, 2013. In Baltimore there are 12 other Steak Houses. An overview can be found here.

Seafood, Take Out: Savor the sweetness of crab meat any way you like, from huge steamed blue crabs to flavorful crab cakes. Although you may pay a little more for your crab infatuation at Bo Brooks, it's worth the cost. The unassuming dining room makes it clear that people come not for sophistication but for a relaxed, bib-wearing, mallet-wielding good time. The menu features non-crab items...

Located on the waterfront of Canton, Bo Brooks offers seafood with a breathtaking view. Open daily for lunch and dinner.
