My daughter was moved to this school because she was neglected by another school. Moving her to BCAMP was the best decision I have ever made. My daughter was brought to the school when she was 3. She is now 5 and still attends on holidays/summer. The Pre-k program is by far the best. Miss Stokes is great at what she does. My daughter went into Kindergarten knowing 18 sight words, she knows all the letters of the alphabet, she knows all the sounds, she knows how to add, she can sound out words to read small word books!! So this school is a great investment to your childs future. And Mrs. Amy Fish is a terrific owner and cares about the needs of the children. And Mrs. Butler is one heck of a director. I had an issue with my daughter getting bullied by two girls and well Mrs. Butler took time out of her day to sit in the classroom to find out why she was getting bullied. And she fixed the issue. My child will continue to attend BCAMP until she can stay at home alone!! This is by far the best school in the HEB area!
I decided to place my children in this daycare facility at the ages of 4 and 2 when I was having trouble at the previous daycare with supervision of my children. A friend of mine had worked there and I trusted and valued her opinion. She was friends with the owner of the facility. After a few weeks my friend had to leave due to complications in her pregnancy. I decided to keep my children there b/c everything was going pretty smoothly. After about 4 months I began having problems with them. My 2 year old son would come home constantly with a diaper rash. There were 2 incidents when his elbow had been pulled out of socket. I took him to urgent care and they advised that this was common at his age but it could've been caused by pulling on his arm. The teacher in the class had claimed that he was riding on a toy motorcycle and she attempted to pull him off, but he held on to it as she pulled and that's how it happened. The 2nd time it happend she said he was banging on a door and he began to cry. He wasn't even 2 at the time this happened. I asked for him to moved to another classroom b/c of my fear of this happening again. They complied and moved him up. Well, just recently I saw the same teacher that he had been with when his elbow came out of socket grabbing and yanking another child around 15 months old up by her arm and flinging her in the air. I immediately advised management of this and they said they would take care of it. I would bet $100 that they of course never told the parents of that little girl. There was also an incident when my oldest son came home and had his private parts drawn on with marker. He told me that his friends had done it and when he told the teacher she told him to do it back to them. When I addressed this with the owner and director the owner didn't take me serious and laughed when I told her that the teacher told him to do it back. All they did was move the teacher to another classroom and she was moved to the classroom her son was in. Most recently, about 12/03/2009, I went to pick up my children and as I walked into my 2 year olds classroom I noticed a HUGE knot and bruise on the center of his forehead. The director "just so happened" to be in there and I asked her what happened. She advised that he ran into the fence. I told her there's NO WAY that a fence can make a bruise that big. Then she said he walked straight into the brick wall. Okay, my son may be 2 years old, but he's not clumsy enough to walk straight into a brick wall..... I then asked him what happened to his head and as I asked him the director kept interrupting me and kept trying to make him change his story by saying, "did you hit the wall?". Well he told me he had hit his head on the plastic alligator that they had on the playground. I asked the director who was supervising them when this happened and she told me one teacher. I asked WHY ON EARTH I was not called immediately when this happened and she said, "Well, it was just a little red so we didn't think much of it". I told her regardless if he didn't have the bruise or if it was just a "little" red they should have called me b/c this could be serious and it's not like he hit his arm. It was his HEAD!!!! They didn't even write up an incident report until I was about to walk out the door. I left and on my way home I called and spoke with the owner. I asked her who was in the classroom when this happened to my son. She said, "Well, 1st of all it was OUTSIDE. And it was Mrs. ......... " she had told me a COMPLETELY different teacher was on the playground then what the director had told me. She also said that there was no reason to call me if it was just red. She had an attitude on the phone with me throughout the entire conversation. I called Texas state licensing the next day and advised them of the incident and all the other things I had noticed going on in the daycare facilty. I had previously worked at a daycare, so I knew what to look for. Well, as of yesterday 12/08/2009, licensing made a little visit to the daycare facility. When I went to pick up my children the owner was standing at the door blocking me from getting in. She told me that my children and I were no longer welcome on her property or at that school. When I asked her why all she could say is, "You know why, you know why". I let myself in b/c nobody is going to keep me from getting my children. They handed me my kids without jackets or anything and she told me I could leave. I asked her if her reasoning was b/c I called licensing on an incident that they should had reported b/c my son had a bruise and knot so huge on his forehead. She just kept saying, "You know why". She then grabbed my 4 year old son's arm and started to push him out of the facility. I told her to never touch my son again and to let go of his arm. I couldn't believe this woman had the nerve to even look at me non the less grab my childs arm! She never gave me an explanation as to why we weren't welcome there anymore, but I know and it's obvious that it was due to the fact that I had called licensing on them. I hope all parents read this so they can know what there children are being put through. Sure, I wasn't fond of AMY FISH ( the owner ) from the start, but b/c she wasn't teaching my kids and b/c my kids liked their teachers, I kept them there. I don't mind not being welcome at such and awful horrible school, but I don't appreciate the way it was done. She calls herself a Christian, but she doesn't have the heart of one. At least a 1 week notice would've been good. Apparently I'm not the 1st person this has happened to either. I should've taken my kids out long ago, but I didn't and I do blame myself for that. But I will NEVER regret calling licensing on them and I do hope that this so called "Christian school" is shut down............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
This is to the response from the owner Amy Fish. She deleted a previous listing of her school so nobody could read my review. Well here you go AMY! How was my behavior disruptive? I never once did or said anything in the facility to be disruptive. I never yelled, blew a fuse, came undone, or whatever you want to say. And the only time I used profanity was outside the day you kicked us out of there, and I do apologize for that. Also, If my children were treated with loving care then why did my oldest son come home telling me about the bad things happening to him and why would you laugh in my face about it and why wasn't I informed of my sons bruise and why did he get such a horrible bruise in the first place? You don't have a good reputation with the parents or with the licensing department. Please, a kid falling from a changing table? Yeah, that's really good. And as for the reason why I took my kids back, I had no choice at the time, you don't know my situation or my life, and why are you reviewing the school if your not even a parent there..... By God's grace my mother had left her job a few days before so she is now caring for my children and I couldn't ask for better care. And why were we "disenrolled" the exact day that licensing made an appearance. You just kept saying, "You know why", and yes I do know why, b/c I made a complaint about the people that are supposed to provide care for my children. I have all the right in the world to call licensing. I did the right thing. I guess my so called disruptive behavior is that I complained of what was going on in your school. Wouldn't you, as an owner, like to know what parents are unhappy about so that it could be fixed asap? Wouldn't you like to uphold a good reputation? I guess not. If your school is so great then why are there so many reviews on here and others sites stating otherwise? And to your comment that the review is inaccurate, actually it's VERY accurate. I have pictures, witnesses, and doctors reports to prove it all. I'm not a liar unlike you..... Some of the teachers were great, especially Ms. Stokes and Mrs. Butler, I will say that, but most of them weren't. I wish there were more screenings done as to who can work with children, but apparently your facility allows almost any person off the streets in there. And as far as being "asked" to not return, that's another lie, you didn't ask, you told and you wouldn't even let me in to get my own children; practically shoving my kids out of the building and shoving there belongings on to me. It's not me you have to answer to when you get to those gates. I won't settle for less for my children and I DID make a mistake enrolling them in your facility. There were and are many things that need to be fixed before you can call your school "good" or "quality care". What you did, not to me but to my son was very wrong. He cries b/c he will never see his friends again b/c you tore him away from them. You have no heart and you're most definately not a Christian.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere at this school. The kids were happy as well as the staff and everyone had a great attitude. This makes me feel comfortable with the way they interact with the children.

Please do not let any of these negative reviews influence your descision for your child/children. I'm shocked at some of these reviews. This is a great school for all ages. My husband and I visited several schools in the area for our four year old child. We wanted something with a classroom atmosphere and a structured setting to get our child ready for Kindergarten. Not one school in the area had a classroom for the children. It was all an open floorplan concept where I felt my child would not get the one on one or focus I wanted. When I walked into BCA I was so excited to see they...
HORRIBLE PLACE!!! I do NOT recommend this daycare to my enemy. Amy Fish, the Director, does not care about you as a parent or you child and their well-being, she cares about herself and anyone's money she can get. My 3 year old son went there for 1 year and everyday he was in a different class with a different teacher with different kids. No stability. No structure. I spoke to her regarding...
