Bay Beach Veterinary Medical Clinic provides excellence in medical and surgical care to dogs and cats in Virginia Beach, Virginia
Full-service veterinary hospital and after-hours emergency care
On Sunday November2, 2014 we took our beloved cat to Beach Bay he had a urinary tract infection and our cat had issues with people touching his paws so they would give him some meds to calm him down to clip his nails . They gave him too much gas and he died. They are under staffed, Rude and heartless cold. Everything the other people say about their customer service is so true! To top the whole thing off they promised to call the cremation service and never did two days later I called the cremation service they had not heard a thing from them, They need a total over hall of their business, bring people in when they work on their pets and get some compassion. A customer for 6 years and that is the thanks I get a perfectly beautiful loving cat Dead! They do not understand cats and have had a poor bedside manner with him from Day1!
These guys are terrific.
After our cat , Teddy, was systematically abused by the doctors Gerlach and Hallstrom at Norfolk Dog and Cat hospital, Bay-Beach was able to rehydrate and warm our cat but ultimately not save him.
Teddy died because the doctors Gerlach and Hallstrom at Norfolk Dog and Cat Hospital forced a medically unnecessary enema on an already weakened cat presenting with cold-like symptoms. Teddy was then subjected to an ice-cold bath and left wet in a cage for hours until we were called to collect him. Teddy was handed back to us wet and shivery numb. At the suggestion of a friend, we immediately rushed Teddy to Bay-Beach where he was rehydrated with IV fluids and warmed up. The ensuing 48 hours were critical and ultimately Teddy died of pneumonia and shock. But the staff at Bay-Beach did everything medically necessary to save his life and were successful at least in warming him up and achieving a natural body temperature.
I am filing criminal charges with the district attorneys office against Norfolk Dog And Cat hospital for animal cruelty and will seek the licenses of Dr. Gerlach and Dr. Hallstrom who are both monsters without a scintilla of moral worth. They hurt and ultimately killed our cat with full knowledge of the pain their actions caused Teddy.
They are psychopathological in their business practices of collecting money and chaining up your pet without performing the veterinary services you're paying for . We handed them a healthy ten year old cat with a cold. They returned to us that same cat in near death-like condition already in shock and with a dangerously low core body temperature. But that didnt stop them from collecting their $250 and demanding full payment at the threat of police action before we could transport our cat to Bay-Beach.
Thank you Bay-Beach for your efforts and for medically treating Teddy to the best of modern science's ability.
If I had my choice I wouldn't have taken my dog here, but I was on vacation when the place that was boarding her had to take her here because of an emergency. Petsmart had brought my dog here as...
I took my dog here because he was in extreme pain and my current vet recommended this facility for emergency care. Upon arrival, we were a bit wary of the extremely decorative parking lot....
We brought our dog in for an emergency visit (she's okay). They let her stay out with us after they checked her out. The wait time was a little long but it was after regular hours, and we were...
