I had ordered my son a birthday cake and it was a complete disaster! When I go to pick it up, 30 min before his birthday party they were short handed, and simply clueless!! I waited for about 20 sum minutes to get a cake that looked as if someone unprofessional had made it with the borders smashed around the edges and you could see the icecream color from the sides. The young lady who was probably all of 17 years old, simply didn't care. She gave me the option to not take the cake! Customers belly up to counters in food courts or free-standing shops where rows of ice cream-packed tubs stand ready under stacks of sugar cones and cardboard cups. Originally, the "31" promised a different flavor every day of the month. Nowadays, the number signifies constant variety--from Cherries Jubilee and Rocky Road to shakes, smoothies and custom-made cakes.
