Many thought Olga Bloom peculiar when she transformed a 40-year-old barge into a floating concert hall. More than 20 years later, Bargemusic is an internationally renowned recital room boasting more than 100 first-rate chamber-music performances a year. Superb Concert on a Barge in Brooklyn

I and my wife (who is a composer) thoroughly enjoyed a concert of new music for cello and piano, including George Crumb and Alfred Schnittke. This was part of the Here and Now Series, which is one of many series, which includes music from every era. The space, about 100 seats, which is perfect for chamber music.
