I love the food here. The price is nicely decorated with Thai atmosphere. Good food & good service. Garlic shrimps are really good. The only downside is if you come with a group of 8 or 10 at night. It will be a long wait since it is a small place with limited tables.
I brought freinds (8) from work for a small dinner party. Service was not freindly when we came in maybe because there was only 1 waitstaff. Food was extremely slow (for just simple food like pad thai, satay, & spring rolls) being that it wasn't really busy. Some food was bland and sloppy when presented. We could hear the workers talking loudly all night and did not seem appropiate atmosphere when you have customers. I noticed that if you eat at all the Bangkok Gardens in VA Beach the taste is never consistant except for the Ghent location, which is still fantastic, even though we have to drive from VA Beach.
I ate here with a friend the other day. The waitress was very friendly and greeted us with a big smile. She refilled my drink almost immediately and didn't rush us when we sat around chatting for a bit after paying.
The food wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was pretty good. My friend really enjoyed her Pad Thai, which I will probably try next time.
The atmosphere was wonderful, but the music almost sounded like the music from a carousel ride... That is also haunted. By the end of my dinner I felt like I was going crazy! HOWEVER, my meal was...
I eat the same thing here for years, Pad Kapow with fried tofu. Before I turned vegetarian the beef was to die for but if you like fish sauce with Thai peppers, pour it on and slide into paradise!...
I had the steamed (fresh) rolls, Green Papaya Salad and the beef salad with a side of Brown rice. I found it interesting that they make their fresh rolls with chicken breast, not shrimp. Very good...
Tom yum talay on a cold night? Yes, please!!! It has so much flavor. Sour, sweet and a little spice. Mmmm... Yum! Everything that I've tried here (tom yum, pokpok/papaya salad, spring rolls,...
Great fresh food! They accommodated our special requests for my dad's diet and were extremely friendly. They have a huge selection and especially vegetarian. I believe our server's name was Viking and he was wonderful. He was very friendly and accommodating.
